PEOPLE are being invited to Louth Garden Centre to learn all about trees this November and December as part of National Tree Week.
To mark the winter tree planting season the garden centre in Legbourne Road is helping celebrate National Tree Week, which takes place from November 26 until December 4.
Jane Allen-Chilman, Manager of the garden centre, said: “We are inviting customers who would like to learn more about trees to come along to the garden centre to receive tips and advice on selecting the right tree for the right spot and then caring for them.
“Visitors will be able to pick up leaflets on a wide range of tree-related topics, including when and where to plant trees.
“There will be a selection of trees on show and we will also be offering advice on the equipment and products needed to ensure you get the best from your trees.”
National Tree Week was launched in 1975 and is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration. It also highlights the fact that Britain is one of the least tree inhabited countries in Europe.
Jane added: “Trees are important habitats for many creatures and are vital in the fight against climate change. It is essential that we plant more trees and care for them in the right way.
“We hope that lots of people come along to Louth Garden Centre to learn all about their favourite trees.”
