SMART new information panels and leaflets welcome visitors and residents to explore and enjoy Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park and its ‘five miles of beautiful sandy beaches and dunes, amazing big skies and wonderful wildlife sites’.
The panels and leaflet explain the special features of the area including its wildlife and show its historic villages, walking routes, places to visit and where to eat on a specially-created map.
The panels have been installed at five coastal sites - Wolla Bank, Huttoft Car Terrace, Anderby Creek, Marsh Yard and Chapel Six Marshes.
Walks in the area include sections of beach, footpaths across working farmland. On a very low tide, Wolla Bank is one of the best places to see the remains of an ancient forest that was submerged as the sea level rose, several thousand years ago.
At Anderby Creek, the Round and Round House gives all-round views over the beach, dunes and pools. Anderby Creek is also home to the Cloud Bar, the world’s first ‘official cloud spotting area’.
Copies of the leaflet are available from the county council on 01522 782070.
