New resident cat Mittens joins the kids at Monks Dyke

MONKS Dyke Technology College has a tradition of having cats around the school and presents new cat Mittens into school life.

Monks Dyke at one time used to have a small farm and have always had our feline friends roaming around the local Louth School, having already had Lola the cat part of the school for many years, she now has a new friend in Mittens.

The cats are used to keep control of any mice that come into the building.

Vice Principal Mrs Ros Webber-Jones says: “Having pets around helps many of our pupils. We work very hard to ensure our young people’s individual wellbeing. Lola and Mittens make us all laugh!”
