NEWSFLASH: Man arrested after a 14-year-old girl dies in crash at Welton Le Marsh

A 14-year-old girl has died in a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Welton Le Marsh.

The collision happened on Saturday at 12.15pm, near the B1196 Hanby Lane at Welton Le Marsh, near Spilsby involving a single vehicle, a Renault Clio.

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst over the alcohol limit and also on suspicion of causing death when over the prescribed alcohol limit.

He has since been released on police bail until a date in October, pending further enquiries.

The girl who has not been named and all persons involved in the collision are said to be from Willoughby

A 13 year-old boy was flown by air ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary suffering from facial injuries, thought to be life-threatening.

Also in the vehicle were a 36 year-old man who was the front seat passenger.

The driver was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital with minor injuries.
