Newsflash: Police negotiators present at residence in Keddington Cresent, Louth

Trained police negotiators are currently outside a residence located in Keddington Cresent in Louth.

This follows information that was received from a member of the man’s family just before midnight last night (Christmas Day).

A 57-year-old man is in the house and threatening to harm himself with a knife.

Negotiators and firearm officers are on scene and are speaking to him with the aim of persuading him to come out of the house. There is no one else in the house with the man.

Lincolnshire Police apologise to people in the area who are being inconvenienced by the police presence.

Police will continue to talk to the man for as long as necessary to ensure he does not harm himself or anyone else.
