ON July 4 people are being encouraged to buy at least one item from their local, independent shop to ‘keep the high street alive’.
Louth shops are taking part in the Independence Day initiative.
Louth Town Partnership is working with businesses to offer -
l Free samples of local cheeses at the Cheese Shop
l Free samples of pastry goods at Jacksons
l Free samples of locally made sausages at Trevor Fairburns
l Sale on clothing in Varlows
l Sale on clothing, shoes and accessories in Spinning Wheel
l Eve & Ranshaw Summer Sale – Rewards on new website www.eveandranshaw-louth.co.uk
l A minimum of 10 per cent off all items in the Dragonfly shops including furniture, homeware, gifts and cards
David Sandwith, owner of Eve & Ranshaw and a member of the Louth Town Partnership, said: “Louth has a strong high quality independent shopping offer that draws visitors from far and wide by the coach loads. However, it’s never been so important that residents continue to buy locally to preserve this unique shopping destination.”
