Louth Playgoers are once again opening their doors for an evening for anyone to take a look around the Riverhead Theatre and perhaps become involved as a volunteer.
For those who have toyed with the idea of getting involved with amateur theatre – but never quite got round to it – here is a chance to see what the stage has to offer.
The theatre is open from 6pm to 9pm on August 28 at Victoria Road.
They have a large band of volunteers which are the lifeblood of the Riverhead and are always looking for new people to help with the running of the theatre in a variety of areas such as: Front of House (including bar, sweets, ices and programme selling), box office, back stage support for productions (including properties, wardrobe, set building), stage managing, lighting and sound.
You don’t need experience just a willing pair of hands and some of your time and whatever your age, they have a job for you!
Chair Maureen Lill said: “People can simply come along and have a coffee and chat with some of our volunteers who will try to answer all their questions. We need volunteers in every area and it is a great social outlet as well.”
Find a new friendly hobby to fill those long winter evenings. Go along on August 28.
