THE Mablethorpe Area Partnership is celebrating a year since its conception and the group has enjoyed a number of funding successes in that time.

Such achievements include funding for a new area website, cycle racks, cycle route maps, and new tourist destination signage around the town.

Another initiative is the shop front grant scheme, offering up to 50 per cent matched funding for local stores to improve their shop fronts.

Town Centre Manager Karen Froggatt recently attended the Best of Britain and Ireland Exhibition to meet with coach operators and promote the area and local events with the aim of encouraging more coach operators to visit.

John Clarke, Chair of the Mablethorpe Area Partnership, commented: “This first full year of the public life of the Mablethorpe Area Partnership has proven to be successful, in very large part due to the efforts and dedication of our full-time manager, Karen Froggatt who has worked successfully in partnership with the public, private sector and leading voluntary groups in the area.”
