TEACHERS past and present gathered as an old era ended and a new era began for Mablethorpe’s secondary school.

On Thursday the school’s summer term ended and from September Tennyson High School will officially merge with Louth’s Monks’ Dyke Technology College to become the newly formed Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College.

School head at Tennyson, Mike Eyre, said the move offered ‘improved prospects’ and a ‘wider breadth of learning’ to students in both towns.

With some members of staff leaving for pastures new, it was the perfect time for the teachers to meet up and share stories about the school.
