Poacher success for Louth area Scouts

Forty five scouts from the Louth area went to Poacher, the huge camp at the Lincolnshire Showground, attended by over 6,000 scouts and guides from all over the world.

A competition to find the best gateway on site was won by scouts from the Louth District. Rob Lynam, 14, said: “We built a gate which featured a Lancaster Bomber and a huge Union Flag focussing on the locality of Poacher. It’s a fantastic achievement and an honour for Louth District to win out of all the groups at Poacher. A lot of hard work went into it.”

The Scouts were sent a congratulations tweet by Lincs FM presenter, Rob Hammond who is an ex-member of their group and received a visit from the Red Arrows engineers.
