Police investigate trio of burglaries in Louth area

Police are on the hunt for thieves after three separate incidents of burglary where machinery was taken in the Louth area.

The first incident saw a forced break-in at a compound at Manby Middlegate where three ride-on lawnmowers, two trailers, a two tonne trolley jack and around 1,000 litres of red diesel were taken.

There were also failed attempts to steal a flat bed lorry from the scene and damage was caused to the vehicle.

The three lawn mowers stolen are all Ransome 2130 models and the two trailers are both Ifor Williams Tandom axle trailers. This is incident 230 of November 4.

Overnight on the Saturday night, November 3, a shed was broken into in West End Lane in Marshchapel, where thieves stole a ride-on lawnmower, a push lawnmower and a rotorvator. This is incident 116 of November 4.

And on the same night a Kawasaki engine hedge strimmer was stolen from an outbuilding in Main Road, Utterby. This is incident 110 of November 5.

At present it is unclear whether the thefts are linked and anyone with any information is urged to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting the relevant incident number.
