Police on the hunt for a man after alleged sexual assault in Theddlethorpe

A prominent police presence including support of the Humberside Police helicopter and trained dog handlers are currently in the Theddlethorpe area on the hunt for a man who is in connection with an alleged sexual assault which occurred this afternoon (Thursday, July 4).

Officers attended a property in Theddlethorpe near Mablethorpe shortly after 2pm after the alarm was raised by the female victim.

The offender, who is not believed to be known to the victim, left the scene and police are sweeping the area in search of a white man in his late 20s, around 5ft 9/10 with cropped dark hair and dark eyebrows.

He is of a stocky build with a round face and there is a possibility that he speaks with a soft irish accent.

He is believed to have been wearing black combat/work trousers with a navy blue polo shirt.

A scene guard is in place at the address and further information will be released as soon as possible.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Theddlethorpe area at the time of the incident, around 2pm today, or saw anyone matching this description should 101, quoting incident 243 of July 4.
