Police plea for witnesses after fatal crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man travelling towards Caenby Corner died after crashing his motorbike yesterday (Sunday).

The accident happened shortly before midday on the A631 Hemswell Lane, just before the village of Hemswell, when travelling in the direction of Caenby Corner.

The man in his 50s, who lived in South Yorkshire, was riding a Suzuki motorbike at the time of the accident.

Police say no other vehicles were involved.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not already spoken to police.

Police believe one car is believed to have stopped just after the incident and the occupant/s may have witnessed something that could assist the enquiry.

Officers would like to speak to the driver or occupants to see if they have any information that may be relevant to the investigation.
