Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a cyclist and a van in Mablethorpe.

The incident happened around 11pm on Tuesday June 16. The cyclist was travelling down the sea ramp when he was in collision with a blue Transit which had exited the car park near Queens Park flats, and was travelling along the A52 towards Sutton On Sea.

The cyclist, a local man aged 58, was not initially thought to be seriously hurt and he returned to his home address.

However, it later developed that he had suffered numerous injuries and he was taken to Boston Pilgrim hospital for treatment, said police.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has information which may assist the enquiry is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 458 of June 16.
