ELECTION: Labour seal Louth Trinity win but Conservatives seal Fulstow and Tetney

Labour’s Ros Jackson has taken the win for her party in Louth’s Trinity ward.

She won the East Lindsey District Council seat with 361 votes ahead of Conservative Ed Bell with 234 and UKIP’s Christopher Burton in third with 195 votes.

Coun Jackson said: “I’m relieved. There’s lots of work to do but I’m looking forward to it.”

Turnout was 52.46%, one of the lowest of the night.

But the Conservatives took both Fulstow, David Buckley beating UKIP’s Iris Dainton, 847 votes to 298, and Tetney, Sturat Watson with 648 votes.
