Potential for housing developments in East Barkwith

East Lindsey District Council’s Planning Department has published the draft Strategic Housing Land Assessment of sites identified for the potential supply of land that could be made available for housing development in the district over the next 15 years.

The consultation is running until 5pm on February 28 and responses need to be made on the correct forms available on the council’s website at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/consultation where the full document is also available.

Sites identified for consideration as being suitable for development in East Barkwith include land to the north of Willingham Road which has potential for 14 dwellings although the access and being on the edge of a rural settlement may restrict the number.

Other sites on Torrington Lane at Sycamore Cottage, east of Bodkin Lodge and adjacent to The Mead are considered suitable if constraints are overcome and two other sites, one on Torrington Lane where there is no apparent means of access and one on the Louth Road where access would be onto the main highway have been discounted.
