Police are warning that telephone calls are again being made to the Lincolnshire region regarding a PPI scam.
People receive a call stating they are entitled to reclaim Payment Protection Insurance.
They are assured that they are entitled to the sum quoted and in order for the company to issue the repayment they need to obtain UKASH vouchers to pay the company’s admin fee to release the full sum.
Police advise people not to make any payments to companies that haven’t given written paper work or proof detailing the banks who are due to make the refund to you.
You are able to reclaim PPI yourself and do not need to pay any admin fees to third party organisations.
