Local residents in the Wolds area are being given the chance to win £20 of high street vouchers. All they have to do is simply sign up to the Lincs Alert community messaging system.
Lincs Alert is run by Lincolnshire Police and the system acts as a tool for the police to give information to registered members on crime reduction and community safety issues. Members are also able to provide information to the police. It is a free-to-use, totally confidential service.
The website is available 24 hours a day and members can subscribe to receive alerts by email, phone, and text. Users can also join an on-line virtual Neighbourhood Watch scheme and swap ideas with other members
You can join the scheme by completing the form and dropping it off at Louth Police Station, the Louth Leader office or the Co-op store on Newbridge Hill.
Alternatively, why not sign-up online by visiting www.lincolnshirealert.co.uk
All new members will be entered into a draw to win the vouchers.
The closing date for the prize draw is March 16.
Louth Community Beat Manager, PC Rachel Dobson, said: “Lincs Alert is a two-way communication system that is proving really effective in sharing information and raising awareness of current crime trends and issues.
“It brings together all the ‘watch’ schemes in one place, such as Neighbourhood Watch, Horse Watch, Farm Watch etc, and allows everyone in our communities the chance to actively participate in the fight against crime”.
