RAF charity concert

THE essence of ‘Englishness’ will be captured in an RAF Concert at Lincoln Cathedral on Wednesday May 4.

The concert, held in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, will reflect on England’s rich musical heritage featuring both traditional and more contemporary pieces.

The concert will feature the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment and will be conducted by the Regiment Band’s Director of Music, Flight Lieutenant Richard Murray.

To enhance the evening and bring the musical story to life will be BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Sunday afternoon broadcaster and former BBC TV’s That’s Life presenter Howard Leader, who will act as compere.

The performance starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available on 0800 1071940.
