Alford Town Council is encouraging input from and involvement of the residents in developing a 15 year plan to control housing development.

The council recently held public consultation sessions in the Corn Exchange to get feedback from residents about its progress to date with elements of the ‘Alford Neighbourhood Development Plan.’

Prizes were offered by the council to encourage residents to get involved and Brian Belcher, pictured with Mayor Sarah Devereux, was the lucky winner of the top prize of £100.

The Town Council will be completing the plan and repeating consultations again next year - which will lead to a Government inspector assessing the final plan, followed by a referendum on whether to adopt it by Alford’s voting residents.
