THE public toilets in Seacroft Road, Mablethorpe will reopen this Good Friday, April 6 after a wholesale revamp.

East Lindsey District Council is carrying out a £500,000 modernisation of public toilets including those in Seacroft Road and also Central Promenade with the latter due to be completed by the end of May.

The facility in Seacroft Road now features new fixtures and fittings, vandal resistant hand driers, automatic flushing, automatic taps, improved ventilation a well as new tiling and decor.

Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Coun Steve Newton, said: “There is nothing worse than being caught short and then needing to use a substandard public toilet.

“Local people tell us that public toilets are important to them and I am pleased the improvement programme is moving apace and we can open Seacroft Road toilets ready for Easter.”
