LOYAL supporters at the annual RNLI coffee morning at the Royal British Legion Hall in Louth enjoyed their coffee and biscuits and raised £1,134.

Organisers thanked the generous donors of prizes for the grand draw and the Mayor, Coun Trevor Marris, who attended the morning – his ancestor Henry George Blogg, a crab fisherman from Cromer, was the RNLI’s lifeboatman most decorated for gallantry.

The winner of the 2010 Christmas quiz drawn by the Mayor was Louth resident Kathy Barnes.

The total raised by the quiz was £1,120, a record.
