With this year’s Mablethorpe Marathon taking place this Sunday (October 6), here is some handy information regarding road closures and speed reductions on the day.
Hundreds of runners have registered for this years event which is now in its 7th year.
There will be some disruption to traffic flow during race day and drivers are asked to avoid certain areas where possible.
There will be a half road closure at Victoria Road, Mablethorpe in a Northerly direction from 9am-10am.
And a full road closure in Seaholme Road between Harris Boulevard and Victoria Road, Mablethorpe from 9am-4pm.
There will be speed reductions to 30mph at Alford Road before Mile Lane, Mablethorpe, Mile lane, Mablethorpe, Main Road, Trusthorpe, Rossa Lane, Trusthorpe, A1111 from Beesby junction to Marina Avenue West, Sutton on Sea.
Also stop/go signs for runners crossing in Marine Avenue to Promenade, Sutton on Sea, Queens park Flats to Seaholme Road, Mablethorpe, Church Lane and Oakham Avenue Junction, Mablethorpe.
Plus caution runner signs in Church Lane, Sutton on Sea.
