LOUTH Save Our Schools group welcomes two new joint chairs for the group after the announcement was made that Sarah Dodds will step down.
Andrew Austin and Anna McNally will take over the reigns of the on-going campaign after Sarah has been at the forefront of the group for the past year.
Sarah said: “I have had a wonderful experience with SOS, and will never regret forming the group.
“However, with my responsibilities as a councillor on East Lindsey, being a part time teacher and having a young family it is time to hand over the campaign to others who can give this vital cause the dedication it deserves.
“I want to thank the many SOS supporters and members, particularly the parents and teachers. who have given so much of their time to the fight to protect our education system.”
New joint chair Andrew said: “We wish to thank Sarah for her tireless efforts and will endeavour to keep the issues around academy status at the forefront of people’s minds.
“We need a full debate as soon as possible to allow the community a chance to air their views. Our schools are not for sale.”
