Screwfix is to officially open its first store in Louth’s Fairfield Industrial Estate on February 5, creating an additional 12 jobs.
Screwfix’s new Louth Store Manager, Nuala Cafferkey, is proud of the contribution the new store has made to employment figures in the region.
Nuala said: “We’ve created 12 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Louth area. Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service.
“Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”
Tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts are all invited to attend the Screwfix Louth opening on Fairfield Industrial Estate, where they can also take part in a “guess the screws in a jar” competition. The closest guess wins a 40 inch Toshiba smart television.
Throughout the store’s launch celebration period, from Thursday February 5 until Sunday February 8, all product ranges will carry a 10 per cent discount among other store specific special offers.
Nuala believes that the store’s convenient location and the ability to provide a Click and Collect service within just five minutes of ordering will be a real bonus to local tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts.
“I’m confident that we’ve got a great location here in Louth. My team and I have already been out and about getting to know local businesses and tradesmen and we’ve all been struck by how friendly everyone has been.”
“At Screwfix we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of today’s busy tradesmen and serious DIYers with a speedy, reliable and convenient service, plus quality value-for-money products. We’re keen to welcome tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts from Louth and the surrounding local areas to our new store.”
