Six dog owners caught with dog dirt in the last 12 months

A PROTEST about the extent of dog fouling in East Lindsey was sounded at a full meeting of the district council.

According to Coun Jill Makinson-Sanders, the problem has been proliferating throughout the district, in both urban and rural wards, judging from the ‘countless complaints’ being made by members of the public.

Portfolio holder for the environment Coun Steve Newton responded that six fixed penalty tickets had been issued to irresponsible pet owners over the past 12 months.

Last week the Leader highlighted the problem of the minority of dog owners who let their pets foul in Louth with Coun Margaret Ottaway circling the droppings with chalk.
