Six Hills barbecue

THE popular annual Summer Barbecue and social evening organised by The Six Hills Village Church Committee and held at Manor Farm by kind permission of the Chamberlin family in aid of parish church funds was again a huge success.

A pleasant summer evening provided the opportunity for those attending to enjoy meeting together with friends and neighbours while enjoying delicious food including beef, chicken and sausages from the barbecue served with a varied selection of home produced salads and followed by a choice of luscious puddings which had all been made and generously donated by committee members and friends.
Head chefs for the evening who were kept busy on the barbecue were David Chamberlin, Gilly Gueritz and Sharon Wight and refreshment was available from the licensed bar.

There was a raffle too to help boost the funds and with thanks expressed to all who had contributed and given their support, the organisers were delighted to announce that almost £2,500 had been raised at what had been a very happy evening, enjoyed by many people.
