A 20-strong group is hoping to raise money in memory of a much-loved friend by riding a century of miles on their bikes.

The Waggon Wheelers will set off on the route on June 7 from the Waggon and Horses pub in South Reston to Brandy Wharf, then Langworth, and back to South Reston, in aid of The National Kidney Federation.

This is in memory of Lorne Kendall who died last year and the group includes Lorne’s borther Andy.

A team of supporters will balso be getting involved by transporting the cyclists’ luggage.

People can sponsor the group at www.justgiving.com/Waggon-Wheelers1.
