Two well known Louth businesses have provided sponsorship to a new and exciting Carriage Driving sport.
Trevor Fairburn Butchers & Louth Trophy Centre have provided obstacles, start and finish boards and letters for the British Scurry and Trials Driving.
The new society which started in 2012 has competitions all around the country including the Lincolnshire Show for the first time this year.
Scurry &andTrials Driving is a new equestrian sport where competitors compete with either a single pony or a pair of ponies in a suitable for wheeled carriage such as a scurry cart or a driving trials vehicle, going at a gallop around a course consisting of both cones and obstacles, with the competitor with the fastest overall time being the winner.
Trevor Fairburn also competes with the society along with his wife Maggie and daughter Sammy.
Ivor Williams a co-founder of BSTD thanked Keith Atkinson of Louth Trophy Centre for his sponsorship for the new start and finish boards and also the letters for the obstacles.
Ivor also congratulated Trevor on his continued success with his butchering business and his sponsorship for a complete set of obstacles for the BSTD for the 2013 season which was very much appreciated and Trevor, Maggie and Sammy Fairburn for their continued support of this sport.
