Static caravan proposals for Maltby le Marsh are put on hold

A proposal to increase the number of static caravans at a Maltby le Marsh holiday park has been put on hold by East Lindsey councillors.

Graves Properties want to site a further 20 caravans at Grange Farm, off Main Road in the village.

But members of the Planning Committee decided to defer a decision, after noting there might be noise disturbance to occupants of Park House which stands adjacent to the site.

It is hoped that, following negotiation, the applicants will agree to relocate the four most controversially-sited statics to another part of the park.

In addition, committee chairman Coun Neil Cooper has suggested that neighbours’ privacy would be enhanced if an existing deciduous hedge, which is in poor condition, were to be replaced by a fence and evergreen hedge.

A revised application is likely to go before the same committee in the New Year.
