WITH just under two weeks to go until Louth’s annual Run for Life, there’s still time to get those all important entry forms in.
The run takes place on Sunday, June 24, raising money for Cancer Research UK. Everyone can take part whether it be a run, walk or jog.
Last year’s event saw scorching sunshine, over 1,000 runners taking part and over £14,000 in sponsorship raised.
Now the Diamond Jubilee is over and with the Olympic torch fast approaching, organisers are hoping everyone will continue to be in the community spirit to make this year’s race bigger and better.
The day starts with the junior run (under 12s) at 10am, followed by the women’s 5km run at 10.30am and finally the men’s 5km run at 11.45am. Everyone who finishes will receive a goody bag and a commemorative medal.
l Entry fees are £10 for the women’s and men’s races and £5 for the juniors race for children under the age of 12.
Forms can be collected from the Leader office in Eastgate or downloaded online at www.louthrunforlife.webs.com and need to be in no later than June 15.
On the day entry is £15 for adults and £5 for children.
