STUDENTS at Monks’ Dyke Technology College raised £426 for this year’s Poppy appeal.
Local poppy area organiser Brian Papworth visited the students to thank them for their donations.
With some money still to come in this year’s appeal has raised almost £18,000.
Mr Papworth thanked people and businesses for being so generous.
The Poppy appeal raises money for the Royal British Legion which runs recovery centres for injured personnel, advises and supports bereaved families, gives financial help and careers advice to service leavers, provides holidays, breaks and life-long care and gives practical support to serving personnel, ex-service men and women and their dependents.
