AFTER raising £2,300 for breast cancer care on May 7, organisers of the South Reston tea party would like to express their heatfelt thanks to the following who offered donations and help on the day:
Nolly Taylor, Claire Howard, Diane Christopher, Sharon Hesketh, Charlotte Riley, Fran and Lorry, Poppy Dale, Sarah Devlin, Karen Watson, Lesley Berry, Paul Drewery, Anton and Joe Drewery, Richard Hodgit, Andy Thorndike, Peter Grantham, Carol Avery, John Pettit Butchers, Lord Brothers, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Wickes and Pets at Home.
As previously reported by The Leader, the party took place at the Waggon and Horses pub in South Reston. Throughout the day a number of fundraising activities took place including a raffle and an auction with local band The What providing the soundtrack.
Findings from the afternoon balloon race have also begun trickling in, with the furthest entry so far coming from Hull.
Organiser Helen Stockton commented: “I’d like to say a very sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone that helped on the day and donated.
“We’ve had so many people helping out and some really generous private donations since the day.
“I’ve spoken to the charity and they are so pleased with what we’ve managed to raise.”
