LOUTH charity Rej’s Dream has taken a huge leap forward after unveiling a children’s author as patron of the organisation.
Georgia Twynham has followed the charity since its beginning and will pledge her support to Rej’s Dream in the coming weeks.
The charity formed in 2010 in memory of 13-year-old Rhianna Jeffrey, who lost her fight to aplastic anaemia and polyarteritis nodosa on May 5, 2010.
Rej’s Dream helps working families of children with a life-threatening/limiting illness in Lincolnshire and aims now to spread its work into other counties. During the year the charity has helped four local families with more still pending.
The next fundraising event is on Sunday, May 13, when the charity is setting up a sponsored walk through Louth. This six to eight mile course will start at the Woolpack Pub at 10.30am, people can arrive from 9.30am.
The walk will end at the Woolpack where the popular carvery will be at a discounted rate for all walkers and £1 for every carvery served will go towards Rej’s Dream.
For sponsorship forms call Sally Curtis on 07716 635314 or Stacie Burton on 07926 704557.
