THE Sutton on Sea residents association is to launch a campaign that it hopes will help restore civic pride to the village.
The Sutton on Sea First group will launch Soul of Sutton at their meeting this week and they already have the support of the six town councillors and two district councillors in the area.
Andrew Ferryman, councillor for Sutton on Sea North on East Lindsey District Council as well as chairman of the residents association explained: “Throughout the local elections residents told us how they had seen the village decline in recent years. It is time for residents to say enough is enough. We want to restore civic pride in our village and return it to being a village we can all be proud to live in.”
The village is hoping to enter into next year’s Britain in Bloom and Best Kept Village competitions as well as making plans for a Soul of Sutton Festival which would be a celebration for residents and visitors of what Sutton on Sea has to offer.
