THE FAT Seagull Cafe and Bistro in Sandilands has chosen their art competition winner, it’s 10-year-old Keira Mager from Sutton on Sea.
Having had a lot of interest from local children during the summer holidays from the art competition, with the help of the local Coastguard, a winner was chosen and Keira’s design has been made into a t-shirt which is on sale at the Fat Seagull now.
But due to the high amount of entries for the competition and the high standard of the work, a calendar has also been made featuring many of the fantastic designs that were entered into the competition.
Catherine Hallsworth, owner of the Fat Seagull told the Leader: “Keira was absolutely delighted to have been announced the winner of our art competition.
“There were some really lovely drawings and we were really happy with the high amount of enteries we received.
“We decided to help raise some money for the coastguard as they are the ones who look after the beach where our cafe and bistro is situated and we really wanted to give something back.”
If you would like to buy a t-shirt which features Keira’s winning design, they are available from the Fat Seagull for £9.00 and calendars are priced at £5.50.

All proceeds from the t-shirts and calendars go towards the Coastguard.
