PUPILS from Sutton on Sea Community Primary School have taken part in the world’s largest children’s Christmas box project.

The shoeboxes were handed over after pupils along with parents and staff teamed up to fill them with an array of toys and gifts and will now be shipped off around the world.

Operation Christmas Child’s annual appeal has run since 1990 by the Samaritans’ Purse, bringing joy into the lives of over 80 million children worldwide.

The boxes go to places like eastern Europe, Africa and central Asia to put a smile on the faces of less fortunate children at Christmas.
