SUTTON on Sea can look forward to a brighter street scene thanks to a funding boost.

Cash has been secured from Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea Town Council to plant up the long planter in the Sutton on Sea High Street with lavender plants.

Local residents involved with the Neighbourhood Management Residents Forum have spent countless hours weeding and replanting to improve the look of their town.

Debbie Prince, East Lindsey District Council’s Neighbourhoods Project Officer commented: “I would just like to thank every resident that helped out with this project which has made a vast improvement to the High Street.

“They also regularly weed and water the plants to make sure they are kept to a high standard.”

Town Clerk Jen Cooper added: “Jen Cooper, Town Clerk “The Town Council is pleased to support this initiative which helps to improve the vibrancy of Sutton on Sea and is a further example of good partnership working.”
