TETNEY girl Ella Henderson became the first person from the Louth area to reach the live finals of The X Factor after another incredible performance on Saturday.
Ella, 16, wowed judge Tulisa Contostavlos in St Lucia, and joined 16 other acts to do battle for the overall crown in the run up to Christmas.
After performing Jason Mraz’s I Won’t Give Up, Ella was put through the mill by Tulisa, who after some delay finally revealed to her she would be going through to the finals.
“You’ve got all the things it takes to be a pop star, you are so ahead of your years,” said the N-Dubz singer.
District councillor for Tetney, Tony Bridges, said: “We’re all very proud of Ella, we think she can go all the way and win it.
