FINAL preparations are being made for the annual Grainthorpe Festival of Arts which will be held during the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The three day event will include the sale of paintings, crafts and features a flower festival in the church.
Ninety one artists will be exhibiting 448 paintings and 30 crafters will also display their goods at the festival.
The paintings are exhibited in St Clement’s Church and the crafts in the village hall and Tithe Farm Barn in Church Lane.
Refreshments will be available at St Clement’s Cafe in the village hall.
All proceeds from the event go to St Clement’s Church and other Grainthorpe village organisations.
Last year’s festival was attended by nearly 1,000 people and raised over £5,000 which was donated to St Clement’s Church, Grainthorpe Village Association, the Pop In/Pop Out, Welcome Club, Grainthorpe School, the Methodist Chapel, Church Kneeler Project, Grainthorpe Cricket, Football and Junior Football Clubs.
A Preview Evening is to be held on Friday August 26 from 7pm to 9pm at St Clement’s Church. Admission is £4 which includes a glass of wine or soft drink.
For the remainder of the weekend admission is by catalogue at £1.50. Children under the age of 16 are free when accompanied by an adult. Car Parking is free.
