AT Louth Library local residents can enjoy more than just books, it opens a whole new window of services.

The dedicated staff are constantly looking at ways to encourage people into the library, ensuring they continue to be a vital part of the community.

A lot of people may not be aware of the range of services that the library provides.

The Library offers an extensive range of DVDs for hire and are believed to be the only place in Louth to do so. Their collection includes recent releases and children’s titles as well as a comprehensive back catalogue.

They also do e-books, e-audio books, WiFi and have an excellent reservation service as well as renewing and reserving your books online.

You can also send faxes from the library, and use their photocopying service. Computer usage is free, including free access to Ancestry.com.

The premises also provide a quiet study area for you to view censuses, old maps and local photographs.

During term time they have a Bookstart Bear storytime session on Mondays, 11.30am to 12noon where children can take up Bookstart memberships and earn certificates to encourage reading.
