Top day of golf raises over £2,000

A HUGELY successful golf day raised over £2,200 for the Voluntary Car Service in Sutton on Sea.

A stableford competition saw teams of four tackle the Sandilands Golf Club course on Thursday, September 8.

These are the winning team were The Seasiders and runners-up were The Sandiland Bulls. In third place were The Senior Boys.

Organiser Roger Hinitt said: “We’re very pleased with the money raised. The service needs up to £10,000 a year to cover costs.

“The quality of golf was excellent. The winning team won by nine more points than last year’s winners.”

Look out for more car service fundraisers in the coming months.
