Interest is growing for the newly-built traditional beach huts that have a modern twist, that are currently for sale on the Lincolnshire Coast.

East Lindsey District Council announced in February 2012 that it would be creating an opportunity for people to have their own traditional beach hut built at Queens Park in Mablethorpe.

The Council has initially allocated 15 plots of land for the new Huts, which will be installed as sales are completed.

Three huts have already been sold, with one so far installed and two more currently under construction, and a further sale is in the pipeline.

Portfolio Holder for Economic Development at the Council, Coun Craig Leyland, said: “The new beach huts look fantastic are generating a lot of interest and this is good news.

“We were pleased to create this opportunity, whilst also investing heavily in the existing beach huts that we make available for hire during the main season.”

Beach Huts have been a staple of the holiday experience on the Lincolnshire coast since 1960s.

Those with an interest in buying a new Beach Hut priced at £12,000, are asked to contact Wilson’s Estate Agent 41 Victoria Road, Mablethorpe or by calling 01507 478297.
