THE COMMUNITY Voluntary Car Service in Sutton on Sea provides a service for local people who are without transport to get to medical appointments.

The service offers a lifeline for people to be able to attend appointments both short and long distance.

The car service is based at Marine Avenue in Sutton and provides transport seven days a week.

Fundraisers are often held to support the service, which requires thousands of pounds each year to keep afloat. A charity golf day held earlier this month raised £2,200 and there are plenty more events scheduled for later this year.

Volunteer drivers are checked for client safety and readily give up their own time to help others.

The service is available to anyone living in the Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea areas.

The office is staffed Monday to Friday, 10am until 4pm. Call 01507 442502 or 441934.
