Two Cleethorpe brothers have appeared in court in Skegness on allegations of attempting to steal from a car park meter in Mablethorpe.

Mark Fox,25, of William Street and brother Luke,18, of Bennett Road, are charged with attempted theft from a car park meter at Queens Park in Mablethorpe on July 26.

They are also charged with going equipped for theft on the same occasion after being allegedly found with balaclavas, gloves, power tools and oxy-acetylene equipment. Both men denied the allegations and face a trial on January 28.

Fox admitted offences of driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance and a valid driving licence, test certificate and failing to stop. These offences will be dealt with after January’s trial. Both men were granted bail.
