PART of the A16 is still closed by a fatal crash.
Police were called to the A16 London Road, Driby Top, Alford, at around 2.45pm today.
Two cars were involved in a serious collision.
A woman passenger in one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver of the same car was taken by air ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary. He is in a serious condition.
A three-year-old boy, who was also a passenger in the car was taken by road ambulance to Grimsby Hospital, his condition has yet to be confirmed. Early indications are that the casualties are a family of foreign nationals living in the Skegness area.
Police are in the process of trying to confrim their identies and inform their relatives.
The woman driver, the sole occupant of the other car, has been taken to Grimsby hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
The road will be closed for several hours whilst the cars are recovered and the police investigation is carried out.
