The flood alert enforced by the Environment Agency on Christmas Eve has been lifted today (Thursday).
The Environment Agency released flood alerts on Christmas Eve for Louth Canal from Louth to Tetney Lock and the Waithe Beck from Binbrook to Tetney Lock.
The area was subject to heavy showers on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, but Christmas Day remained dry for many.
But on Thursday the flood alert was lifted, though people should remain vigilant to water levels.
The area has avoided the rain today (Thursday) but heavy showers are expected on Friday morning, with lighter showers in the afternoon.
River levels remain high but have been falling, according to the EA further showers of rain are not likely to have a major impact on water levels.
