UPDATE: Louth man dies following North Willingham collision

A 20-year-old man from the Louth area has died following this morning’s road traffic collision in North Willingham.

The 20-year-old man was the only occupant of a Ford Focus, which was one of three vehicles involved in the incident at the top of Willingham that happened at around 10am today (Wednesday, April 8).

The other vehicles involved were a BMW X3 and a DAF skip lorry.

The male driver of the BMW has been taken to hospital, but the extent of his injuries are yet to be ascertained.

The driver of the skip lorry was uninjured.

The road between North Willingham and Ludford was closed shortly after the incident and currently remains closed while enquiries and recovery of the vehicles are carried out.

Officers investigating the collision have appealed for any witnesses, or for anyone who might have seen any of the vehicles prior to the incident to get in touch.
