A PETITION of 1,400 names supporting Lindum’s development for Mablethorpe was handed into East Lindsey District Council on Thursday morning.
MAGLIN (Mablethorpe Action Group for support of LINDUM) are campaigning for the £50million project to be given the go-ahead at March’s planning committee meeting.
The development, including housing, a petrol station and a supermarket, was initially rejected at a planning meeting in December but the council agreed to reconsider it to avoid ‘unecessary legal action’ regarding the initial hearing.
The Leader spoke to Stephanie Carruthers of the action group, who explained why this group of local people are so keen to see the development get the green light at the second opportunity.
