Video: Seals bask in the sunshine at Mablethorpe

OVER 1,000 seals have passed through Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary since it opened in 1974.

Most have been rescued after finding themselves stranded on the beach or becoming injured at Donna Nook.

Some stay for a matter of days while others become more permanent residents of the centre.

Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary is one of the area’s best visitor attraction, the ‘mini zoo’ is home to a huge range of different mammals, birds, reptiles and more.

It’s now open daily from 10am until 5pm with last admission at 4.30pm.
